Overview
This Institute will provide an opportunity to facilitate peer-to-peer learning among a diverse group of stakeholders including trans-health professionals, researchers, intervention/program staff, group leaders, counselors, capacity building providers who will discuss holistic programming, implementation challenges and barriers, inclusivity, professional staff and workplace development, obtaining ongoing support, and other issues of interest.
The day will include networking opportunities, a keynote address, a panel presentation from organizations working in the field, small group discussions, and action planning.
Target Audience: Trans-health professionals, researchers, intervention/program staff, group leaders, counselors, capacity building providers

Objectives
- Provide an opportunity to talk about how programs/interventions can advance health equity from an intersectional perspective.
- Unpack challenges and successes in key areas, including trans stigma and transphobia within the workplace, creating and implementing policies and procedures to develop staff into the workplace culture
- Discuss how to move past HIV and address the whole person and whole community.
- Have conversations about inclusivity across all trans and gender expansive identities (Note: include panelists who can speak to this issue) addressing the social determinants of health
- Facilitate peer-to-peer learning to identify best practices for program implementation. (e.g., workplace development issues, supporting staff)
- Create a mechanism to provide mutual support in our work and identify strategies for relationship- and rapport-building for transgender and non-binary professionals.
- (Strength based): especially for those from small organizations or isolated programs within a large agency. How to create a network of support?
- Bridge building between Trans and Non-Binary staff: moving from ally to accomplice
