Course Description

The 2025 National Transgender Health Summit (NTHS) will present cutting edge research, evidence-based educational sessions, and training opportunities across many disciplines, with an emphasis on HIV. This landmark program will be our seventh NTHS, and we expect over 1,000 attendees. We have hosted Summits in 2011, 2013, 2015, 2017, 2019, and 2023.

The 2025 Summit will be organized around four tracks:

  • Research Track: The research track is a forum for disseminating data-driven research and evaluation from diverse health-related disciplines. Track Chair: Jae Sevelius, PhD.
  • Clinical Track: Sessions in the clinical track will focus on a specific topic or related set of topics in all clinical areas, including primary care, surgery, hormone therapy, mental/behavioral health, voice and language, gynecology, and pediatrics and adolescent medicine. Track Chairs: Isabella Ventura, MSN, AGPCNP-BC, Rahul Seth, MD, Caitlin Andrews, PsyD, Michelanne Baker, PsyD, and Bennett Lareau-Meredith, NP.
  • Policy Track: The policy track is a collaborative effort between the UCSF Center for Transgender Health (CoE) and the Lyon Martin Community Health Center. This curated track will address transgender health policy issues such as incarceration, immigration, and insurance coverage.  Track Chairs: J.M. Jaffe
  • Centering Trans and Gender Diverse Voices Track: This track will provide a forum for trans and gender diverse people in community and health professions to strengthen their skill set and networks for leadership, community mobilization, and professional development. Programs implemented and other issues of importance in trans and gender diverse communities will also be featured in this track. This track is appropriate for anyone interested in centering trans and gender diverse voices during the Summit. Track Chairs: Breonna McCree and Shawn Demmons, MPH

The 2025 NTHS will create sustainable networks for healthcare, mental health, policy makers, HIV prevention professionals, and other stakeholders to advance transgender health across health disciplines. We are building the Summit Program through a combination of peer-reviewed session abstracts and curated content selected by the track chairs and the planning committee. The program will provide a professional forum for the sharing of best practices, innovative techniques, and cutting-edge research.

UCSF welcomes people with disabilities to our events. To request a reasonable accommodation for this event, please contact Philina Lim by emailing [email protected] with as much advance notice as possible.
